Drivers Start Your Engines!

The race is on!  Drivers are lining up for the 2007 Rally Program to increase sales and build excitement around selling lubricants. Changes have been made to this year’s program to offer additional sales tools only available to participants.

How the Program Works?

The race to the finish is based on qualifying product1 volume2 gain v. base volume2 (your base volume is your highest fiscal year volume of the past three years). 

The Cenex Lubricants pit crew will send you quarterly updates with your year-to-date purchases v. base volume and position in the race.  At the end of the race, up to 10 accounts will be awarded the Checkered Flag Award3, up to 15 accounts will be awarded the White Flag Award3 and up to 20 accounts will be awarded the Green Flag Award.

All winners will receive credit for a CHS sponsored celebration event and a Rally jacket, with the value increasing as you move towards the lead.  The top 10 winners will also be invited to attend the 2007 Energy Summit and be presented with the Checkered Flag Level Award.

What’s New For 2007?

  • Earlier deadline to register Deadline is October 15, 2006 to register.  Rally materials are being provided to you two months earlier than in 2006.  The sign-up deadline has also been moved up to give you a stronger start in the 2007 race
  • Restructured Rally Tank Program with minimized submission requirements to continue to help secure new Cenex lubricant end users
  • Quarterly reports will now include special programs for Rally participants, sales tips and success stories to help build your lubricants business
  • Recognition for winning driving techniques-drivers who share strong selling strategies and tactics will be eligible to earn $75 gift cards sponsored by the lubricant ESRs 
  • A one page how-to guide for growing sales in all market areas, including marketing programs, sales process and products for each market area
  • More flexible requirements for the celebration event to allow more customization

THREE QUALIFYING LEVELS

CHECKERED FLAG LEVEL

  • Recognition of up to 10 accounts based on volume (at a minimum, a checkered flag winner must have a net increase over base volume of at least 20,000 gallons)
  • One 2007 Energy Summit trip, including registration cost, awarded to the Driver (team leader)
  • One all leather customer 2007 “Checkered Flag” Rally jacket (The White Flag or Green Flag jacket can be substituted)
  • $2,000 credit to the dealer for a CHS sponsored celebration event4 or local award for the driver and pit crew.  In conjunction with your Lubricants ESR, plan this event to put your team in the lead.  Some examples may include:  a fishing trip, a weekend get-away with their spouses, or a recognition lunch with each employee receiving a gift card

WHITE FLAG LEVEL3

  • Recognition of up to 15 accounts based on volume gain over base volume
  • One 2007 “White Flag” Rally jacket (The Green Flag jacket can be substituted)
  • $800 credit to the dealer for a CHS sponsored celebration event4 for the driver and pit crew.  With your ESR, customize this event to increase positions on the race leaders.  Some examples may include: a golf outing, a special dinner for employees and spouses or a pizza party and gift cards for employees

GREEN FLAG LEVEL3

  • Recognition of up to 20 accounts based on volume gain over base volume. 
  • One 2007 “Green Flag” Rally jacket.
  • $400 credit to dealer for CHS sponsored celebration event4 for the driver and pit crew.  With your ESR, use this event to build excitement for your pit crew.  Some examples may include:  doughnuts and coffee, a picnic for employees and their families or a gift card to a local restaurant

 
2007 Rally Tank Program – Only for Rally Participants!

This program is an added sales tool for qualified 2007 Rally Program participants to help secure new Cenex Lubricant end users.  It is designed to help meet the equipment needs of end users less than 500 gallons annually (the New End User Equipment Program only qualifies for end users over 500 gallons).  However, it can be used for any new end user.

Dealers can earn up to $125 per 120-gallon tote1 set for new Cenex Lubricant end users with an initial purchase minimum of 100 gallons of each qualifying product per tote.  This translates to $1.25 per gallon! 


This program can be used in combination with the Growth Based Equipment Program, but can not be used with the New End User Equipment Program.

1 Does not include: bulk chain bar oil, bulk drip oil or cotton picker spindle grease.
2 Volume gain and base volumes do not include redistributed gallons to CHS member cooperatives or CHS Country Operations. 
3 Winning accounts must have at a minimum, 2,500-gallon volume gain over base volume.
4 The CHS sponsored celebration event must be for multiple employees, not one individual.  The event should reward employees for their efforts.  Your Lubricant ESR must approve the event before a credit will be issued.
