Hometown Pride is a grant initiative established by the Cenex® brand to celebrate the unique stories found across communities. The program begins with Cenex retailers nominating their community traditions. To date, 25 communities have been honored and two videos have been produced to showcase these communities.
In 2019, videos celebrating the Dickens Village Festival in Garrison, N.D., and the 100th anniversary of pheasant hunting in Redfield, S.D., have been shared on the Cenex YouTube and Facebook channels.
The videos have resonated with audiences with more than 60,000 total views to date. “Engaging content helps showcase the unique communities that Cenex locations call home,” says Mark Vanderlinde, advertising and brand manager for Cenex.
More videos will be created in 2020 and all videos can be found on the Cenex YouTube channel.
