Across the Midwest, the town ball field is often a community’s crown jewel – it brings families, friends and neighbors together, and we think that’s important.

And that’s why  Cenex and the Minnesota Twins teamed up to rebuild ball fields for future generations through the Fields for Kids program. Since its inception in 1999, the Twins’ Fields for Kids program has granted more than $3.7 million to improve more than 700 ball fields across the communities that are home to Cenex.

Eligible renovation projects included upgrading essential field components, such as new sod, infield, fencing and dugouts. In addition to the field restorations, local Cenex employees volunteered at grand reopening ceremonies in these five communities:
- Carlos, Minn.
- Thompson, N.D.
- Sartell, Minn.
- Duluth, Minn.
- Dodge Center, Minn.

Here’s a closer look at our renovation in Duluth.

With nearly 1,500 locally owned and operated stores, each Cenex location plays an active role in the community it serves. Fields for Kids provides the perfect venue for Cenex to deepen its ties within the community while investing in today’s youth athletes — the future leaders of tomorrow.

And to all the young sluggers out there, we hope you enjoy your new digs. Let’s play ball!
